Itinerary description

Saturday:

From 11.30 to 13.00 boarding in Zadar port, greeting and getting to know the crew and other passengers. Right after that we leave the shore and head towards the island of Ugljan. Dinner and overnight stay in Kukljica.

Sunday:

After breakfast we head towards Kornati. We sail through a narrow canal Mala Proversa and between numerous islands we direct our course towards deeply hidden bay Telascica. We dock in Mir bay and head for our first walk. We have to ascent a slight slope up to the rocks. From there opens a wonderful view over National Park Kornati, Park of Nature Telašćica and a part of Zadar archipelago. We walk over a rocky shore to lake Mir, which is also known as the Silver lake from the movie Winnetou. After we walked around the lake we will return to our boat which will drive us to the island of Zverinac where we spend the night.

Walking time cca. 2:30 h, climbing and descending 100 m altitude.

Monday:

From the island of Zverinac we arrive to Long Island near the place Bozava. Our today's route leads us from Bozava to the Kapelica hill (135m) with a beautiful view over Saharun bay, Veli Rat lighthouse and Molat and its neighboring islands. From there we walk along stone fences through Polje and Veli Rat to the fisherman village Soline where our sailboat awaits us. After lunch we start towards the island of Pag. Dinner and overnight stay in Mandre.

Walking time cca. 3:00 h, climbing and descending 134 m altitude.

Tuesday:

From Simuni bay we follow the old goat path that leads through stone wall remains to the island of Kolan. The route further leads through Kolanska valley slightly uphill by many sheep herds that graze poor fields which remind of Moon surface rather than a grazing meadow, and are surrounded by almost endless stonewalls remains. We reach St. Vid top (348 m) wherefrom one can see not only numerous islands but a mighty Velebit massif on land. After returning to Simuni we sail further by boat through sea isthmus Ljubacka Vrata below a bridge that connects the island of Pag with land. Overnight stay in Starigrad - Paklenica.

Walking time cca. 5:00 h, climbing and descending 348 m altitude.

Wednesday:

Today we mostly walk the National Park Paklenica. From Starigrad through Velika Paklenica gorge slowly climbing trader's rout to mountain house. After short break we slowly head back but climb Manita cave. We will visit a cave which is especially rich in stalagmites and stalactites. Return on the boat and sailing through sea isthmus Novsko Zdrilo and Novigrad Sea near river Zrmanja to Obrovac where we stay the night.

Walking time cca. 6:00 h climbing and descending 548 m altitude.

Thursday:

Walk through canyon of crystal clear river Zrmanja. Left and right from us rise up to 100 m high steep cliffs of canyon. We will be able to enjoy birds singing and frogs croaking. We'll pass many fast currents and waterfalls. After returning to the boat we will head towards our stay for that night – Povljane on the island of Pag.

Walking time ca. 4:00 h, climbing and descending 50 m altitude

Friday:

We leave the island of Pag and head towards Zaton in time of breakfast and start our program for that day. After reaching land, we walk on a road leading through pine forest to the ancient Croatian town of Nin, former seat of Croatian bishops and kings, rich in antique finds. We walk further to a sandy beach Sabunike and later to a bay with healing mud before we return back to Zaton. The last phase of our cruise takes us from Zaton to Zadar. After arriving to Zadar, we meet an experienced tourist guide who will take us to see the old town center and its numerous sights and monuments.

Walking time ca. 4:00 h, climbing and descending 50 m altitude

Saturday:
